Welcome to the Norwich Jazz Party web site.
2012 sees the sixth Jazz Party and if the last five were anything to go by, we're all in for another treat as we bring together the very best jazz musicians from the UK, Europe and USA for a mouth watering programme of jazz performances.
As in previous years the music will take place in the Lancaster Suite at the hotel which has proved to have superb sound and sight lines. Full table service for drinks will be available throughout the sessions with a full bar with real ale nearby. The party will start at 3pm on Saturday 5th May 2012 and continue until late on the Monday evening 7th May. For early arrivals there will be an informal evening of music in the hotel bar on Friday 4th May.
The final schedule of music will be prepared after full consultation with the musicians. It is our policy that the programming decisions will left as far as possible with the players themselves and we firmly believe that this scheme has contributed to the great musical success of the past four years.
The cost for the 3-day party for the MUSIC ONLY is £175 per person and for this sum you will get over 26 hours of the best swinging jazz! To purchase your ticket(s) please complete the enclosed form and return it to the address overleaf. Telephone and email booking are welcome as are Visa and Mastercard.
Rooms in the venue hotel are usually booked very quickly but there are a number of other establishments nearby offering accommodation to suit all pockets. A number of these are listed on this site. It will be possible for those not staying at he Holiday Inn to eat in the Carvery restaurant at special prices and there are also other eateries close by.
Those making bookings will receive newsletters giving information about how the
arrangements for the Party are progressing and full information, including musicians
biographies, etc. will be available on this web site.
Over the Party weekend there will also be an extensively stocked CD stall provided by Jazz ‘n’ Blues Records
We look forward to seeing you... |
